Last Updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Consult Us, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company that publishes Small Biz AI Team ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit smallbizaiteam.com, subscribe to the Small Biz AI Team newsletter, or use our related services (the "Site" and "Services"). It works alongside our Terms of Use.
Consult Us, LLC is responsible for the personal information collected through the Site and Services. For privacy questions or to use your rights, email [email protected].
Information you give us: your email address, and anything else you choose to share, such as replies to our emails or survey answers.
Payment information, if we ever offer paid content: handled by our payment processor (such as Stripe). We receive transaction details, not your full card number.
Information collected automatically: IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, referring page and pages visited.
Email engagement: whether you open our emails and which links you click, where your email app allows it.
Cookies, pixels and similar technologies, described below.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers or health records through the Site.
To send the newsletter and messages you asked for.
To respond to your emails and requests.
To understand which articles and ads are useful so we can improve them.
To measure which ads lead to signups.
To keep the Site secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
To comply with the law.
We do not sell your email address. We share personal information only with:
Service providers that work for us, including beehiiv (website and email delivery), Make (processing signup events), Meta Platforms (advertising measurement) and hosting and support tools.
Others when required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
A buyer or successor if our business is merged or sold, who must protect it consistent with this policy.
Strictly necessary cookies and security tools keep the Site working and block bots. These run for every visitor.
Advertising and analytics pixels (such as the Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager) load only after you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Decline, they do not load.
Signup measurement: if you agree when you subscribe, then after you confirm your subscription we send Meta a hashed (one-way encoded) version of your email address and a record that you subscribed, through Meta's Conversions API, so we can measure which ads lead to signups. This does not use cookies and is sent only when you gave that agreement at signup. Hashing protects the data in transit but is not anonymous, because Meta can match it to an account it already has. To stop it, email [email protected].
Email tracking: our emails use pixels and tracked links to measure opens and clicks. You can limit this by turning off remote images in your email app.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them.
Support and security tools. beehiiv, the platform that runs this site, loads two tools on every visit that the site needs to work. HUMAN Security protects against bots and fraud, and may look at technical signals such as device details and how the page is used, only to tell people from bots. Birdie is a customer-support widget. It does not record your screen or activity in the background, and records only if you choose to start a recording yourself, for example to show a problem to support. Neither tool is used for advertising.
You can do any of the following at any time by emailing [email protected]:
Unsubscribe (or use the link at the bottom of any email).
Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct or delete it, subject to legal record-keeping needs.
Object to or ask us to limit certain uses.
Withdraw consent you gave earlier.
We respond to verified requests within the time the law requires.
We do not sell personal information for money. When advertising measurement is on, some cookie, device or hashed signup data may go to Meta Platforms, which some state laws treat as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, click Decline on our cookie banner and email [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share" in the subject line. We will stop sending your signup data to advertising partners.
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete and correct it; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and not to be treated differently for using these rights. Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws have similar rights. You may use an authorized agent, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email.
You have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We keep subscriber information while you are subscribed and for up to 24 months after, unless the law requires longer. We keep a record of your unsubscribe so we do not email you again. Payment records, if any, are kept as tax rules require.
We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure.
The Site and Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
We are based in the United States, and information is processed in the United States and wherever our service providers operate.
Our emails and pages may link to other companies' sites, including tools we recommend. Their privacy policies apply there, not this one.
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will note material changes in the newsletter or on the Site.
